Night and Day?

While watching the SAG awards on Sunday night, Tina Fey made a joke/quote from "Today's 4th hour" and this made me think, "They're on for four hours?"

I know that the Today show is the #1 rated morning program but to be honest, I don't know that I've ever watched it besides when I was growing up and my mom had it on or on a random news channel showing a clip from an interview that occurred on Today.

But, last night when I was watching The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, I got to thinking, I like this show, and notably Craig, most of the Late Late shows with Jimmy Fallon being a very close second.

This got me to thinking, are late night shows my equivalent to morning television?  Do people ever really have a favorite in both Late Night shows and "morning" shows?  Or are the majority like me and prefer one category over the other?
